Why is my game still "unlisted" on textadventures.co.uk?

I have a game on the Text Adventures called "Wandering and Shrinking (1.0.1)", however I could never tell if it was ever actually uploaded. Whenever I went to edit the game and make sure it was visible, it defaulted to "unlisted". I repeatedly set it to public, but I was never sure if it was really public.

Then I decided to try editing my profile, since I also have an issue where I do not have a profile picture like everyone else. I made a new password, and suddenly when I went to check my games, the game had gone missing from my list! It apparently had made a new profile for my new password (which is a load of malarkey) and I had to relog in with my Google account, since that was what I had used originally.

All of these issues have simply baffled me, and I am really interested in using this web service. Can somebody explain to me what might be happening?

For specific support issues like this you're better off using the contact form on textadventures.co.uk or sending me an email, so I can look into the specific issue. I'll add an answer here with general advice though.

To make a game public, you need to choose a category as well, so make sure you're doing that.

Once you've made a game public, it doesn't go into its category immediately. First, a moderator must check it. Games which are not of sufficient quality to qualify for their category will be placed in the Sandpit instead.
